As I have finalized my business planning for next year, I decided it was past time for me to move my business account from the Virginia bank where it’s been for 14 years now. While I have appreciated the stability and services of my existing commercial bank, it has really not kept up with the times as far as online banking goes and thus has become very challenging since there are no branches outside of Virginia.
Thus I decided that this last month of the year is a great time to make that happen. It’s been on my to do list for months…but ugh, what a hassle.
Questions:
- Does anyone use a credit union for their commercial banking? My Virginia account is at a credit union. But, of the three credit unions in our area, none of them offer commercial options. Is this just not a common thing?
- Would you look at big national banks over more local or state banks? I know there are advantages and disadvantages to both. I’m interested in your experience.
- Have you ever considered an online only bank, specifically for your commercial account? Likes, dislikes?
I’d love to hear your reviews on different commercial banking options, specifically commercial checking. At this point, I’m not looking for any other account.
I found this article on Fundera, The 5 Best Places to Open a Business Checking Account Online via a Google search and thought it was a great starting place. But I’d love some personal reviews.
Looking forward to 2021
I’ve got 1/2 dozen or so big launches for my own business planned for next year. And that’s in conjunction with all my client work – two of which are working on big digital summits. I anticipate a booming year work wise.
In addition, Beauty and Princess will be taking big steps of their own…as yet to be determined what those will be.
I can’t help but be hopeful for what next year will bring. It may not look like what we thought it would, thanks COVID, but we are ready to make the best of it.
