As I always do when I need to search for something on the internet, I open up Blingo.com and do my search (if you are interested in learning more about Blingo, I have it listed as one of the best free things on the net).
I was trying to figure out a problem that I have been having with my blog and searched “feed not displaying date” and to my surprise, after I hit search I saw this (click on the picture for a larger view):
I won a $5.00 gift certificate to Amazon.com! I still have a $50 gift certificate that I haven’t used (which I won through Networth IQ when they had a tips contest). Now I need to figure out what to buy with $55. Too bad I can’t cash them out and put the money towards our debt.
Today turned out to be my lucky day, and it’s not even 07-07-07 yet 🙂
Well, you could use it for “normal” expenses through Amazon like toiletries in the grocery department and offset some regular monthly cost like that. I was suprised to see how much they have expanded their grocery department.
Or, you could do what I do with my Amazon credit card points gift certificates and blow it all on books 🙂

This is what I like to do with gift cards to free up the money for debts. I use the gift card to make a purchase of a gift that I need to buy for someone, then I move the money I had budgeted for this gift, into my debt category on the budget.

Congrats!! Nice to know that REAL people do win! I have been using them for a while, nothing yet but I can dream, can’t I?

I won on Blingo at one time I think it was a movie gift card, and now trying to win on pch search and win, I don’t think winning big prozes is likely!
