I don’t do resolutions. Not because I don’t have them, but because I never hold true to them. But I do have goals. I wrote about my Q1 2025 financial goals last month.
But even more so, I have a number of personal aspirations for this year out side of financial goals.
Health
My number one health goal is to increase my flexibility and vary my movement from my daily walks. I have no plans to join a gym, I know that is not something I will not be consistent with and certainly do not want another bill.
With an empty room in my house and some basic equipment sitting around for years, I plan to start a in home work out routine. A jump rope, a set of free weights, a yoga mat, and a slew of saved YouTube videos, I am ready to take the next step in my health journey.
Yes, I did get health insurance. So there’s that too.
Schedule
Living alone. Hyper focus. And very few responsibilities outside of myself and my very own, personal goals, I have taken control of my schedule. I’m calendaring everything. Workout time for my health. Study time for a new certification I am pursuing. (More on that later.)
There is something very, very comforting to me in living by a plan. But if the years have taught me anything, it’s that I plan and God laughs. So while I am planning my days down to the minute. I am also embracing change as it comes my way.
I truly am open to whatever God has in store for me. Stay here. Go. Rebuild my business. Work in the corporate world. So many options…and I’m game for whatever!
How are you starting 2025? Resolutions and goals? Leaving things behind? Aspirations of where you want to be at the end of the year?
